Psalms 31 & 34

The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear Him,
And rescues them.

As for me, I trust in You, O LORD,
I say, "You are my God. My times are in Your hand",

Be strong and let your heart take courage,
All you who hope in the LORD.

Operation 48 Bound Update

Our access to wifi is unpredictable! Sorry it has been so long since I've posted. Let's see...

We left Destruction Bay, Yukon and traveled thru Whitehorse to Watson Lake. Turned out to be a 14 hour traveling day because of traveling at VERY slow speeds (25-45mph). Once we started the trip, we had to finish it because there is nowhere to stay overnight. The last hours were after dark and very difficult. Children did great! Amazing really... We arrived at the Big Horn Hotel and got settled in and decided to rest on Sunday.

Yesterday was the last really long day...over 10 hours of travel. We went from Watson Lake to Fort Nelson. All the difficult mountain passes are behind us. This was the most beautiful part of the trip. Tok was gorgeous; Destruction Bay and Kluane Lake were gorgeous-er; the Canadian Rockies were the gorgeous-est! Except for one particular pass that made me want to throw up. No guardrails and we were circling a cliff edge. Thank goodness we didn't meet any oncoming traffic until we were past that part. We have some breathtaking video. Don't know when I can post it because of slow connections. The hotel only had an executive suite available, so how disappointing...we had to settle for a Jacuzzi and fireplace and 2 DVD players along with a kitchenette! :) This is the big time after the motels and lodges we've experienced so far.

By the way, we plan to fly back up to Muncho Lake and spend a vacation at the Northern Rockies Lodge there. It was beautiful scenery and such a nice accomodation to stay and eat. Of course we would have to bush plane fly in...

Yesterday was Isabella's 2nd birthday! She got to spend the day in her carseat. Whee! We moved up to Alaska on Elysiana's 2nd birthday. Also Isabella was just a few months old when we moved up and Havah is just a few months old on the trip back. Funny. Isabella doesn't know she is supposed to have cake and presents so she thought a fruit snack and granola bar were great birthday foods. She got to have a Jacuzzi bath and I suppose that was special. I plan to celebrate her and Gabriella next month together. Maybe a tea party...

We are spending today in Fort Nelson. We have finally figured out the best way to travel with our "Revells Nation." Each day we perfect a new technique. Now, we travel less distance, only in the daylight, and I sit monkey-in-the-middle. I can reach everyone to deliver food/snacks and wave around the paddle. It works beautifully. Brennan now is the navigator with the Milepost travel guide. He also helps to video. Today I will make reservations for lodging for the next part of the trip. So tomorrow we will drive half-way to Dawson Creek and the next day we should complete the Alaska Highway!

Well, I gotta go feed the baby...Keep praying and I'll keep posting!

When you all plan your trip back to Muncho Lake please tell us, because Chris and I really want to go back also. I have had lots of fun looking at your pictures of places I was at in May.
We have both been praying for you all and are very happy to hear that your adventure has been such a fun adventure so far.
We send you all love from Chris, I and the others in the LaBean clan.
