Psalms 31 & 34

The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear Him,
And rescues them.

As for me, I trust in You, O LORD,
I say, "You are my God. My times are in Your hand",

Be strong and let your heart take courage,
All you who hope in the LORD.

Nashville, TN

Actually we are a little east of Nashville tonight in Lebanon. We traveled almost 12 hours today. Pushing hard to make it home tomorrow night. Reaching I-40 sent a surge of adrenaline thru the truck. Even Brennan kept encouraging, "If we just push a little harder..." So happy to be in the South where patches of green amaze us!

We shed the snow boots a couple of days ago and it's almost time to put away the heavy winter coats. I will probably have to do a bit of shopping for some lightweight coats for these growing children.

I feel like we missed all the holiday preparations and build-up that we would normally experience in Nov. We were busy just surviving. So now I am faced with Christmas and I'm still in shock over our move.

I cannot believe how well we have survived thousands of miles together in the truck. Packing and unpacking in arctic conditions every evening. Eating on the road, pottying on the road, etc. The children are such troopers. They have not complained about having to ride another day - ever! I have wanted to cry at the thought of another long day of travel, but they have just jumped in and made it happen. Unbelievable. We were so pushed for time because of the weather that we did not stop for ANY national parks. We did drive-by photography. We did not play at ANY playgrounds in Canada or the US. (John LaBean, our children found a playground in Canada! But we did not stop.) The children would run around during potty breaks or at the end of our days. We did listen to stories/Bible/music, play games, sing, and they had toys and games to entertain during the long rides. God's grace was sufficient. We have some funny video of the little girls ALL crying at the same time. You just have to laugh and deal with each of them one at a time. But all in all, it was an amazing peaceful trip.

I re-did the few posts that were messed up. The pictures should show up correctly now. I am also sending a funny video of the children at the pool.
