I have been trying to upload a nice video from the camcorder but the signal here is not strong enough. Only the smaller videos from my phone work. We are doing well!
Just got great news!!!! The truck is ready - actually 5 days earlier than we anticipated. Thank you, Lord, for favor. The mechanic was able to find a local transmission, I think, and he prioritized our repair over others in his very busy schedule. Chris hired Charles to drive him into Whitehorse today. They are trying to make it before the shop closes. We plan to head out early in the morning. I will miss this place. It has been relaxing and soothing after the frantic pace of leaving Alaska. The children were able to explore the lake and valley in front of the mountains. The staff here has been wonderful to us. We will forever remember Destruction Bay, Yukon, Canada, town of 30 people.
Elysiana learned a new song:
"Row, row, row your boat
bently down the street,
Mary, Mary, Mary, Mary,
life is but a dream." :)
I must do the laundry one more time, and repack our things. We pulled out the griddle and had bacon and eggs and black raspberry jelly toast and orange juice. We've had yummy soups and tasty snacks. So much for trying to lose the baby middle...Oreos...hot cocoa...apple cider...capuccinos...kudos...
Charles' wife sent us fresh apples. They were little snack sized apples and the children love them.
John-James and Gabriella are doing well with Whirly Word on my iPhone. It is so cute to watch them learn spelling without even knowing it. Brennan got creamed last night twice in Old Maid.
It looks like we may be home for Thanksgiving!
Psalms 31 & 34
The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear Him,
And rescues them.
As for me, I trust in You, O LORD,
I say, "You are my God. My times are in Your hand",
Be strong and let your heart take courage,
All you who hope in the LORD.
And rescues them.
As for me, I trust in You, O LORD,
I say, "You are my God. My times are in Your hand",
Be strong and let your heart take courage,
All you who hope in the LORD.
