Psalms 31 & 34

The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear Him,
And rescues them.

As for me, I trust in You, O LORD,
I say, "You are my God. My times are in Your hand",

Be strong and let your heart take courage,
All you who hope in the LORD.

A Quick Update

Yes, we are still around! Life has a way of taking over January and February each year. We are still at my parents’ in NC. We are so grateful for Mom and Dad’s graciousness to host us while we are settling back in to the South.  I just wanted to send out a quick update.

Chris has work – lots of work! He is in New York for the 2nd week on one particular job. Then he will mostly be working out of the home with intermittent travel. God has granted me the desire of my heart.

I am currently wearing a Holter heart monitor for near syncope and orthostatic hypotension. This is a fancy way of saying I frequently feel like I am going to pass out. Last week the doctor measure a significant drop in my blood pressure when I stood. Even after over-hydrating, I continue to have the dizziness and near syncope. So the EKG looked good, blood work looked good. And this annoying little monitor was the next step. I get it off tomorrow and go to the cardiologist for follow up next Tuesday.

We are in the middle of intense birthday months. David, Chris, John-James, Brennan and Elysiana are all celebrating. Brennan is almost 13 (Boo-Hoo), could be 6’ 5” when he finishes growing and is being checked for asthma. David has gone to bug heaven (my mother’s garden). Gabriella and John-James both have decided to ditch their shoes and run barefoot. Literally. I can’t hardly get shoes on their feet anymore! Elysiana is planning her 4th birthday party – cupcakes at the park. Isabella is talking in paragraphs and has been upgraded to the booster seat at the dining table. And Havah has sprouted another tooth and now occupies the high chair.

We are very excited about where God is taking our family this year.  I am looking into expanding my blog into potential ministry avenues. The children are brimming with business ideas.  Stay tuned… well, give me a few months… J

So, assuming you'll be in NC for awhile...where at? My hubby is headed up to Clayton,NC for the next yr. and a half and the kids and I are staying in Greenville. We'll be headed his way every other weekend or so. If you all on along the path we will be taking, then, it will be a perfect way to stop by to say Hello some day.
