Psalms 31 & 34

The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear Him,
And rescues them.

As for me, I trust in You, O LORD,
I say, "You are my God. My times are in Your hand",

Be strong and let your heart take courage,
All you who hope in the LORD.

Busy...not in My Vocabulary

I really don't like that word - "busy"! It has such a negative connotation: slavery, weariness, no time, hectic, loss of control, mindless, crowds, traffic, stress, worry, being driven...

So I don't like using it! When pressed, I shall say, "No, I am not busy". I take each day as it comes and give out exactly what I have and call it, Good.

I have learned that many times it is my lower priorities that would drive me. However, I choose to be led by my gentle Shepherd. Not driven by a whip. My to-do list is gigantic. But I am learning to focus all my efforts on the ONE thing.

I love Alaska time. It agrees with my soul prospering. Rest and relax today.

So, I will not tell all of the wonderful events that have transpired until I have finished resting! Because I am NOT busy.

P.S. If you want to know more about strategic planning centered around God's will for YOUR life, call Chris!

P.P.S. I will adopt Amy's slogan for today: If only everyone thought this way...!

I love this post..it is so true. I try very hard not to be a slave to a hugely oppressive schedule and yet, I know I should do more with me time for the Kingdom. That is a current work in progress. I am about to begin the search for ways to reach out. Meals on Wheels is a current possibility, and another open door may have shown itself today, regarding visitation to nursing home residents. I know my children need to be actively serving and so should I. I am now starting a women's get together, but I do feel that there is more that I am to do,( that our family should be doing together). So, I am glad that you wrote this..speaking of our time being commited to the Lord..some days we rest, and some days we have a full plate...but we can always so No to those things which aren't really God's calling.
